So! Eeaaaaasse back in your seat and chillax with this collection of Internet delights, in my weekly Linkfest.

To begin …

1) 🖌️ The Dragon-Ball-inspired art of “Les Éternels”

These pictures of a new artwork by Monsieur Zohore, over at Contemporary Art Daily (one of them above), really caught my eye.

The first few snapshots show the gallery from outside at night, looking in at these curiously glowing orbs. Then the photographs go inside, getting closer and closer to the artwork — until you’re within inches of the huge, eyeball-like glass/lucite spheres.

They feel like omens? Or technology? Or spirits? Or some Venn overlap of the three. As Zohore explains in the artist statement …

This body of work takes its inspiration from Akira Toriyama’s seminal manga series Dragon Ball, namely its namesake Dragon Balls. According to the series’ mythology, Dragon Balls are the ultimate object of obsessive desire…
