Alas, yes!

I have nothing against good marketing copy; I write it myself -- for my nonfiction book jackets and pro, for my bios, for my newsletter and its promo -- and I sweat hard over it. Writing excellent marketing copy is freaking hard.

But it doesn't offer much training in the actual work of journalism, which is what new entrants into journalism need ...
