Monday’s done.

And so, possibly, are you?

Thus it’s time to chillax with my weekly Linkfest — all the diversion I could hunt down, just for you.

To begin …

1) 🧊 Gorgeous video of ice crystals forming

In “Bellatrix”, Thomas Blanchard created an amazing short video of ice crystals forming (above). As he describes on his site …

Bellatrix … is an experimental film on the crystallization of ice stars. It is a chemical saturation in hot water which is then cooled. The chemical saturation becomes very unstable when the liquid cools. The slightest disturbance in the liquid activates crystallization.

It’s a little vague — I’d be interested to know what chemical he used? But it’s beautiful to behold, with trippy music by Sébastien Guérive.

2) 😱 Plunging into the uncanny valley with a “digital president”
