1) 🎨 The flameworked glass art of Amber Cowan
This is truly gorgeous stuff — Amber Cowan’s filigreed, detailed works of flameworked glass. (Above!) The more I look at them, the more odd little details I notice. For some reason I didn’t at first see the hand reaching for the stem of the wineglass (in that particular piece above), but it’s spooky.
Flameworked glass has a naturally organic quality to it, a feature that Cowan uses to make her art seem positively acrawl with life. As Colossal describes it …
