Glad to have introduced it to you! Yes, "Brave New World" I also read in high school when a friend told me to read that one, too. It was wonderful, and it's a terrific counterpoint to 1984. Neil Postman wrote about the contrast between the two, in his intro to "Amusing Ourselves To Death" -- he said that Orwell's vision held that we would be oppressed by forces from above, and Huxley's vision held that we would be oppressed by our own desires for pleasure; and that Huxley turned out to be more correct.
