Good question!
I don't know if Socialoomph works with Mastodon? You could inquire with 'em!
If it's set up to allow that sort of regular automated posting, then you're off to the races.
The only questions might ones of protocol, and whether followers would want to follow an account posting like that. I don't know! It's generally true that, from what I've seen, people use Mastodon less often for promoting one's work -- so (more often than on Twitter) they might decide, that's cool this guy is promoting his work, but I'm probably not gonna follow him. In this sense, Mastodon is not always a good replacement for Twitter ... though you can try!
The other part is traffic and server usage. With Twitter, if you tweeted a ton, you never had to worry about paying for the bandwidth because Twitter was a busines -- they sold ads, and that paid for the cost of hosting Twitter. With Mastodon, the great majority of servers you'd join are run by volunteers who are just doing it barn-raising style. So if you're going to post a lot, you'd want to probably contribute to the monthly patreon for the server (if the server admin has set one up -- typically they do, they pay for server costs with a pass-the-hat style).
Either way, good luck with it!
