I don't think it's paid? I didn't pay for it, anyway

Me, I can imagine some benefits behind a paid browser: While it dices people out who can't afford the browser, it would mean the browser has a revenue source apart from getting a kickback from search enginers ... which is how browsers like Vivaldi (which I use) pay for themselves ...
