1) 🔌 The spectacular circuit-sculptures of Mohit Bhoite
Mohit Bhiote is a hardware engineer in San Francisco who makes astonishing electronic sculptures — by bending the wires of electronic components into the shape of the sculpture. (Example above!) Essentially, he makes electronics that aren’t centered around breadboards (or which sometimes use none entirely), which is what frees him to craft such wonderful shapes.
Or to put it another way: Traditional consumer electronics are shaped around the breadboard, but Bhiote starts with the idea of what he wants to sculpt, and then puts the electronics in that configuration.
There’s a great interview with him on the Embedded.fm podcast, in which he describes his method of “doodling” by putting components together …
