Yep — environmental racism is a huge deal! I’ve researched a little bit about one interesting side aspect of that in cities, which is the huge difference in the number of trees and tree canopy in black Hispanic neighborhoods versus white ones. Tons of studies have found there far fewer trees in the former neighborhoods, which means hotter summers, worst air quality, etc. …. I’ve been slow baking a blog post about it for one of these days
