Yep -- the problems for workers stem from the business models, precisely. One answer (not the only one, but one) is the creation of more worker-owned coops, like the ones I briefly mentioned at the end of the piece. If the workers actually own the platform, they get a lot more say in how it works, the productive efficiencies of software and AI accrue to them as well as their customers
