Yep -- there's been an increase in clear-air turbulence, where airplanes encounter unexpected wind shear high up, in otherwise clear and low-weather skies

Given the chaotic nature of winds in the atmosphere and the difficulty of *closely* modelling them, it may have nothing to do with global warming ...

... but, folks working on atmospheric modelling have been saying for a while now that we could *probably* expect to see more clear-air turbulence
