Yep yep -- I suspect the problem with your 2017 thinkpad is that Windows now requires so much more processing power! I've tried to run Windows on machines that are only a few years old and it can be terribly sluggish. Linux requires pretty low specs, though -- it'll run fine on a baked potato 😅
